Oct 02, Madelyn rated it it was amazing. Fatou is from Africa. She wanted to go live in the city on her own. Her family believe that in order for that to happen she has to become a women. The only way that is going to happen is by letting her own father have sex with her. When she finally made it to the city she met a drug dealer and fell in love. Her life was changing and she was becoming a different person. With all the money and clothes nothing else mattered. I love this book because it kept me on my feet the whole time.
